Welcome
... the new International Interchange Committee
It's a great pleasure for me to introduce the new leadership team of the International Interchange Committee to you. Cynthia Canas from CRC has taken over as chair and Eileen Weber from USA is the new alternate chair. Both have been working with the committee for some years as ReCo/Alt-Chair, they are excellent in their work and have a high commitment for IIC. I am sure both will soon contact you all and present themselves in detail. I feel that I leave the committee in good hands.
I want to thank all wonderful committee members and also all fantastic NICs all over the world! I enjoyed being the chair of IIC and I am proud of what we have achieved throughout the last three years! Especially the successful work of the ReCos and the respective countries was a great step forward.
Further, I want to thank Natalia, Heinz and Monica who are leaving the committee this year. Truly, it was a great pleasure working with you. Good luck for your new projects in life.
Several people joined the committee at this AIM and I wish you all the best for the upcoming work in the committee. In case you have any questions please drop me an e-mail. frank.steffen@de.cisv.org will always forward it to me.
I am going to stay in the committee for one more year as a co-opted member, finish some work on matchbox, hold NIC/LIC trainings in Europe and publish all valuable resources from my hard drive either to SharePoint or the webpage.
A BIG HUG,
Frank

INTERCHANGE is ……
Interchange is the only CISV Programme that is family centered and allows for total immersion of the youth participant into a family's social and cultural life. This is acheived by living in a host partner's home and becoming part of the family.
The Interchange Programme is for our youth, ages 12 to 15, who are ready to begin exploring cross cultural communication.
Total cultural immersion allows participants to gain new insight into human similarities and gain interdependence. In addition, Interchanges provide the greatest opportunity to share the lessons that CISV has to offer as families are directly involved in all phases of the Programme.
For further information about CISV and the Interchange Programme, please go to www.cisv.org/programmes/interchange.html.
