CISV Statement of Purpose

The Educational Content Committee (EDC) is a group of committed CISVers contributing with the development of our four main content areas of Peace Education.

EDC and the Education Officer are responsible for the following and for consulting regularly with the other Committees in the Department:

•Setting Quality Standards for education in all CISV Programmes

•Providing educational materials to support Quality Standards in all CISV Programmes

•Writing educational materials

•Working with EVR team (Evaluation and Research Committee) to review educational materials

•Maintaining an online library of resources to support education all CISV Programmes

•Working with programme contacts to collate activities

•Reviewing, annotating and publishing activities for use in programmes

•Maintaining and update the general education sections of the Programme Guides

•Reviewing and approving the programme-specific education sections of Programmes Guides

•Maintaining and updating the general content of the education sections of training for positions of programme leadership

•Maintaining and updating the general content of education sections of training for positions of organizational leadership

•Maintaining an awareness of educational initiatives inside and outside CISV
