Peace Education provides us with the Attitudes, Skills and Knowledge we need to become agents of change both locally and globally. In other words; to become 'Active Global Citizens'.

Have you been inspired by CISV to act to make a difference?  Is there an issue that you think we should all know and do something about? Then get in touch!

Inspire us with your ideas and experiences of being an Active Global Citizens.

We want to know what you have been doing or hope to do.  And don't forget to tell us about any issues or opportunities you think we should all know about.

Alex, CISV Canada

Inspired by the concepts and methods learnt with CISV, Alex began the Halifax School Arts Project in 2007.  Having identified a school with an under-resourced arts department and lack of postive role in the lives of many of the schools youth, Alex was able to unite students from his own student community with the schools pupils. A succesful pilot initiative was developed that used arts as a vehicle for empowerment, promoting a willingness to challenge themselves and set personal goals. This has led to requests for an expansion of the project to other schools in the community.  Read more about how the project was developed in CISV News

Roberto, CISV Italy

After Roberto learnt about how many women and children across the world may have to walk up to 6 hours a day just to collect water, he decided to do a sponsored walk and raised money for WaterAid.

Anne, CISV Great Britain

I'm learning how to be a peer counsellor to help stop any bullying at my school.
