Working with and within the community of Farafra, this IPP aimed to introduce ideas of social work and volunteerism. The promotion of a sense of belonging to the community encouraged people to work together to overcome their identified obstacles. Whilst helping with the restoration of the old city, participants also facilitated the brainstorming process and planning of ideas around the development of Farafra and worked together with the community to translate their ideas into action.
