Goals & Action Plans
Committee Goals
The Committee strategic goals for 2009/2010 centre around:
- Communicating a consistent message effectively with each other and external audiences
- Having refined messages for key target audiences
- Increasing the impact of Profile Raising activities at every level of the organisation
- Making the most of our 60th Anniversary as an opportunity to raise our profile and build our profile raising capability.
In addition the Committee has a focus to maintain normal operational activities in the areas of Brand Compliance, Outreach Material, Web Content and Donor Relations.
1. Communicating a Consistent Message
In 2009/2010, the key focus of this goal will be:
- conducting a joint review of all of our internal and external communications
- creating resources that can be used at all levels within the organisation to create more streamlined communications
- encouraging National Associations and Chapters to participate in and to implement the recommendations from the Communications Review.
2. Having Refined Messages
In 2009/2010, the key focus of this goal will be to ensure that:
- we have the right message for any targetted audience
- we are reaching or are intending to reach our targetted audiences in the most effective way
- all of our new and existing media is consistent with our key messages
- Organisational Development and Educational activities and priorities are supported by our communications
- our communications allow up to promote ourselves effectively.
