Committee Goals
The Committee strategic goals for 2008/2009 centre around:
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with NGOs at the international level so that meaningful operational relationships can be developed.
- Provide clear guidance on Brand Identity and Management so that the profile of CISV can be raised, both internally and externally, leading to an increased capacity to generate additional income
- Maintain the international website ( www.cisv.org) so that it projects a professional image of CISV on the internet and encourages increased participation in CISV activities world-wide
- Utilise the Friends website and database to better communicate with members and to raise the profile of the organisation that will increase the capability of the organisation to fundraise and provide resources for CISV activities
Maintaining Relations with other Organisations
In 2008/2009, the ERC committee, through its NGO Relations sub-committee will be striving to:
- identify and develop options for membership of LMO/NGO groups that would benefit CISV; special effort to be made in Latin America and Asia-Pacific;
- liaise with the International Mosaic Committee to support LMO/NGO partnerships on a local level.
- liaise with CISV programme committees to support LMO/NGO projects within existing CISV programmes;
- encourage and assist NA’s in creating and maintaining relationships with UNESCO National Commissions;
- encourage and assist NA’s in creating and maintaining relationships with National Youth Councils;
- progress an application for CISV to become a member of the European Youth Forum; and
- maintain our status with UNESCO and the Council of Europe and attend NGO conferences as appropriate.
