Brand Identity & Fundraising
The key tasks for 2008/2009 will be to:
- develop a rolling two year plan for Marketing and Fundraising that includes activities related to the Friends membership;
- develop an updated Guide to Sponsoring and Fundraising that will improve the ability for NAs/Local Chapters to acquire sponsors and /or increase fundraising ;
- gather and consolidate information about fundraising successes at the international and local levels of CISV;
- produce guidelines and tools for developing marketing and media strategies at IO, NA and Chapter level;
- provide training in the areas of Marketing, Fundraising and brand management at regional meetings; and
- provide guidance and actively manage the rollout of the approved Brand and sub-brand identity across the organisation.
Friends and Alumni Development
In 2008/2009, the ERC committee will be:
- distributing an electronic version of CISV News to every member of Friends at least four times a year;
- examining the Friends Database and develop criteria to segment the members into specific target categories;
- developing specific communications for each target categories that will re-engage members of Friends;
- issuing the communications, at least once a year, to each target category and analyse responses for development of second and subsequent stage communications;
- continuing communication strategy for each target member category with aim to reconnect Friends members to CISV;
- identifying and engage Friends members who show a specific interest in the concept of a CISV Alumni Association; and
- developing terms of Reference (TOR) and other administrative documentation to support the Alumni Association .
Electronic Infrastructure
The key focus for 2008/2009 will be to:
- finalise the rollout of the CISV Intranet so that there is a a stable foundation for effective communication within CISV;
- continue to develop the CISV Friends website so that it is easier for more past participants to register and communicate with other past participants;
- refine and improve the resources website so that quality up-to-date material and tools are available to CISV volunteers around the world;
- assess new ways to electronically store and disseminate information within CISV;
- seek ways and means to improve the distribution of all CISV paper-based publications;
- review the international CISV technical infrastructure to document the current environment and to make recommendations for the future needs of the organisation; and
- develop management processes and procedures to simplify, prioritise and control activity within the CISV electronic communications domain.
