Welcome to the External Relations Committee
The External Relations Committee (ERC) supports the achievement of CISV's Educational Purpose by increasing income and organisational profile as well as providing the resources and electronic infrastructure to enable effective communication and sustainable growth.
The ERC is a multi-dimensional committee that has the responsibility to develop and recommend:
- public relations, communications and marketing policies to the CISV International Board
- policy and guidelines in the area of fundraising
- policy on forming and maintaining relationships between CISV and like-minded Non-Government Organisations (NGO)
- policy on relations with past participants of CISV programmes
- policy on establishing electronic systems and technical infrastructure to support the needs of the organisationl.
There are five key functional areas that are separate but are also clearly inter-related. They are:
- Non-Government Organisation Relations
- Electronic Infrastructure
- Fundraising & Marketing
- Alumni Development
- Publications.
The Terms of Reference for the ERC were endorsed at the IEC MWM in 2002.
The TOR of all committees are currently under review and the new ERC TOR are expected to be endorsed in February 2008.
