Welcome to the External Relations Committee
The External Relations Committee (ERC) supports the achievement of CISV's Educational Purpose by increasing the capacity of the organisation to raise profile at all levels of the organisation.
At AIM2009 in Guatemala, the International Board agreed to split off the NGO and Electronic Communications components off ERC and set them up as two separate international committees.
This decision was taken to better align ERC with the new strategic priorities scheduled to commence in January 2010.
The reconstituted ERC will now focus on the 4 goals that make up the Profile Raising strategic priority.
These four goals relate to:
- Communicating a consistent message effectively with each other and external audiences
- Having refined messages for key target audiences
- Increasing the impact of Profile Raising activities at every level of the organisation
- Making the most of our 60th Anniversary as an opportunity to raise our profile and build our profile raising capability.
The ERC and the Organisanisational Relations Committee (formerly NGO) will form the Profile Raising Department and will work collaboratively with the Development Officer at International Office.
The ERC Terms of Reference were endorsed by the International Board at AIM2008 but will now be amended in light of the AIM2009 decision.
