About
Welcome to the NGO Relations Page
The purpose of this website is to give an overview of CISVs effort to work with non-Government and like-minded organisations at the local, national or international level.
In 2008-09, the NGO Relations team will be working on one of the five strategic priorities of the organisation.
This priority is to Increase quality through cooperation with other organisations with the goal that by 2009, CISV will benefit from cooperation on at least 50 projects a year with LMOs.
In support of that strategic priority the NGO Relations team will:
- develop a database to capture details of all current and future cooperations with NGOs at the International, National and local levels;
- update and execute the five year plan that sets the framework for an ongoing cooperaive and professional relationship with UNESCO and other organisations;
- maintaining a professional relationship and status with Council of Europe;
- progress an application for CISV to become a member of the European Youth Forum; and
- investigate the possibilities of developing relationships with Youth Councils and Youth Platforms in Asia and South America.
