Internships


Two exciting internship opportunities at IO for 2010!
 
You can apply to be an intern at the International Office (IO). If you have another idea for a project that is linked to CISV priorities, please send it to us.
DURATION:
Internships can last from one to three months.
LOCATION:
Most work will be done at the IO
SKILLS and STATUS REQUIRED:
  • Member of CISV;
  • Currently in or a graduate of college/post-secondary education;
  • Must have citizenship or work permit status, which allows the person to work in the UK;
  • Computer literacy including understanding of databases;
  • Good English, both written and verbal;
  • Ability to analyse, summarize and organize material; and,
  • Ability to work independently, but also within a team.
COSTS and ASSISTANCE:
Internships are unpaid. However, CISV International will provide a small honorarium to assist the intern with living expenses. CISV International will cover the costs of any travel or other approved expenses incurred as part of the internship. The IO may assist in finding lodging in Newcastle, but payment of all living expenses will be the responsibility of the intern. The person selected may wish to apply to his/her National Association (NA) for financial assistance.
