Who we are

We currently have eight staff members working either full or part time at the IO, some of whom have been with CISV for many years. They are listed below with their responsibilities and days of work for part-timers.
 
Secretary General, Gabrielle Mandell has been with CISV since 2000 and works full time.
Role: Support and promote the overall operations, management and strategic development of the organization by overseeing the staff and functions of the International Office, assisting the International Executive Committee, providing an overview of organizational policy and procedures and representing the organization or advising committees and National Associations as required.
  Fiscal Officer, David Scholfield joined the IO in late 2008 and is responsible for financial management, billing and reporting. David works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Role: Support the operations of CISV by managing revenue and expenditures and producing an accurate statement of financial status for submission to the directors, members and external bodies within deadlines.
  Operations Officer, Nick Simpson started at CISV in 1996 and is in charge of IT, networking, coordination of websites and electronic communications and office facility management. Nick works full time.
Role: Enabling organizational/office roles to function effectively by providing the appropriate practical systems and technical infrastructure, along with the relevant training and support.
  Communications Officer, Denise Farrar joined the IO in February 2008. Her areas are fundraising and marketing, including branding and publications. Denise generally works on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Role: To raise CISV’s profile and increase income by coordinating international fundraising and marketing initiatives and by providing volunteers with resources, guidelines and training in these areas.
  Education Officer, Rupert Friederichsen just joined the IO in June 2011.  He is working with the Education Department on educational content, training, evaluation and research.  He works four days per week, sometimes at the office and sometimes from home.
Role: Encourage effective evaluation and help develop quality educational resources and a "professionally" managed Training Network to strengthen intercultural competence, volunteerism and peace education efforts among a greater number CISVers.
  Administration Officer, Bebbe Hron is a long-standing member and volunteer in both CISV Sweden and International. He started working full time at the IO in 2007 as Assistant to the Secretary General, supervisor for administrative matters and contact for the Organizational Development Department.
Role: Enable smooth operations, collection of data and flow of information by fully supporting IO administrators, ODD, IEC and SG and undertaking AIM/MWM and administration. Promote volunteer support and positive relations inside and outside the IO.
  Administrative Coordinator, Lynne Parmley is the longest serving member of staff and has been at IO since 1989. She administers the Village programme and International Youth Meetings as well as providing assistance to the Fiscal Officer and managing travel insurance and visa information requests. Lynne works full time.
Role: Enable Youth Meeting and Village to progress by coordinating requests and providing the necessary information to all parties and provide assistance as needed in financial administration of organizational income and expenses. Share historical and organizational knowledge as able in order to assist operations.
  Administrative Coordinator, Helen Pringle began working at IO in 2004. She is now working with us full-time and provides coordination for the International Mosaic Committee, the Seminar Camp programme, International People's Project and the NGO Relations Team of the External Relations Committee.
Role: Support the development of the organization by serving as information hub among all parties relating to NGO Relations and assist in providing an overview of committee work in these areas. Support the organization of CISV educational programmes by ensuring awareness and understanding of all necessary information for Seminar Camp, IPP and Mosaic among Committees, NAs and IO staff.
  Administrative Coordinator, Jay Warriner began working at CISV in 2006. She administers the Summer Camp and Interchange programmes and assists the Operations Officer. Jay works until mid-afternoon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Role: Support the organization of CISV educational programmes by ensuring awareness and understanding of all necessary information for Summer Camp and Interchange among Committees, NAs and IO staff.
