Moinho da Juventude
This NGO was born from informal work of animation for children, of women’s fight for better working conditions and sanitary improvement. Today this association is a community wide project. It was established by the residents who were facing common problems and who have been through a joint action, extending and consolidating the foundations and objectives of their lives.

Description

 
The IPP will work in a disadvantaged neighborhood. In is an autonomous community mainly formed by ex-Portuguese-colonies emigrants. Together with the Moinho da Juventude, participants will focus on the social inequality and to work on the empowerment of the local community.
 
Practical Contribution
This IPP will partake in public space requalification, educational activities with the children, helping Moinho da Juventude to come up with innovative activities and programs, improve the organizations public image and marketing in order to get more funds and volunteers.
 
Participant Profile
Participants should be good at interacting with people, cultural sensitive, willing to learn and open to new experiences.
