IPP Norway 2002 "Verden i Bergen"

Also, outside speakers explained details about the institution the participants were going to work with, how intergration can work in Norway and the importance of the topic "immigration".The working phase of the project lasted for almost two weeks. The first one was an activity-week for the asylum-seekers' kids alongside Norwegian kids from schools in the local area. Every day paralell activities of all sorts were orgaized for an average of 60 kids. The second week was mostly spent working with older kids and the families that lived at the institution. Among other things big multicultural event took place, where all participating nations and some of the nations represented at the institution performed or presented something from their home country. The last days were spent evaluating the project and creating a manual for how do repeat an activity-week of this kind in other places or institutions.
