Description
In May 2006 an earthquake destroyed the village of Wedi and caused a lot of disabled people. During
this IPP the participants will work with Realino is an Indonesian organisation that works with
different projects in different part of the country. They conduct different trainings for students
and social work projects in many Indonesian cities. Participants will be working in three different
projects that include the field of physiotherapy where they will assist the local doctors helping
the people that have been affected by the earthquake. Another group of participants will support
disabled people in their normal jobs in order to let them continue their normal life. This includes
working with batik artcraft and working in the rice fields around the village. During the third
part of the project IPP participants will help to rebuild and clean some houses that have been
destroyed by the earthquake.
